The Alexander Family
First Family I ever created and lived that I did not cheat to build their house was the Alexander family.  The only cheat I have used for this family is stop-aging.

It was not easy to build a house for 3 people with such a limited budget considering I had not done it for so long.  I used a house I had designed back in my Lego days as a model for what I wanted this house to have as far as rooms.

Little by little, i was able to get my Sims to advance in their careers in order to make enough money to add wall and floor covering to make the structure a home.

Now, with a new baby, the now larger house could become a little smaller.  It may even cause one member of the family to relocate.

The Original First Floor, not much of anything really, just a cheap table.

Notice there is no flooring or wall covering, just sheetrock and foundation.  Only the second floor got carpet, because it had to have something and putting down carpet is the cheapest.

The original second floor, i had to sell some of the countertops in the kitchen just so i could afford all three beds
Planted Grass and added more stairs
Added on a great front deck.

Finally complete!
After the new edition was done it seemed to turn into storage for a while.
Learning to Cook in the newly remodeled kitchen.
Lobster Bisque - mmmm!
Play Time
Dating and cuddling Ethan
Welcome my Baby
Will you be my man for life?

The Langley Home Update
I finally played The Langley Family and as the babies grew I discovered while the house is quite large, it was not quite designed for a full family of eight.  The two youngest children were about to grow into teens and were still sharing a rather small bedroom.  I wanted to add onto the house without making it look like it was an add-on.  I selected the space above the original children's room to build on.  There were challenges constructing the space and including a staircase in such a definite space but i enjoyed working through them.

While I was making this addition, I repaired the original roof.  If you take a look at the old roof  you will understand what I am talking about.

Added Stairs in a newly created pocket in the hallway. look how smooth it is :)
Another view of the stairs

A view from the back of the house, the front of the new edition is on the lower right corner.  I am quite pleased with the final look.
New edition is in the upper right corner
I think the new edition fits nicely and does not stick out like a sore add-on (do you see it?)

it is on the top left corner of the image.

Justin and Jarrod Simulation
From the first family i ever created comes Justin and Jarrod. They have moved out of their parent's house and purchased a slight fixer-upper.  The house itself is in good condition, with the exception of the layout of the master bedroom bathroom and a they have to decide how to utilize the very strange space inside the house.

After purchasing the house Justin and Jarrod added a backyard deck to hold their new spa.  Jarrod has broken Justin's heart at this spa once before, will he do it again?  Will Justin stay with Jarrod.  Download today and decide for yourself.

Remodeled master bedroom-bathroom  the opening above the tub creates a vaulted ceiling look.  This is the only part of the house that has this type of dead space opening like this.

The Langley Family
I wanted to see how large a family could get, and like the old game, the limit is 8 members in the family creation mode.  Two separate family units living together as one large family.

I tried to design the house taking a totally new approach for me, starting with the foundation tool.  This was not only a new approach for me but also the first house i built from scratch in The Sims 2

Family is too big for the Portrait, baby Michael got cut off : (  --- can you say bug in the game?

Aaron, Henry, York, Sidney-Bristow, & Michael; along with:

Virginia, Andy, & Todd; Thus creating "The Langley Family"

No House?  Not a Problem.  The Langley family consists of two separate families bonded by ties of deep rooted friendship.  Aaron and Michael own the property, but at this stage in life, no one has even taken step in the new home, it is not even finished yet.
This is my second house design and I am really happy with it so far.  I have some major flaws in some of the layout and I plan on fixing some of it but this was more of an experiment in what I could do with the new game.
This is my first house to build from scratch, I made a foundation and I had no idea what I wanted, I knew that I wanted two separated living quarters, but a shared living area along with a section of the house that resembled a true wing branching away form the main structure.
A small porch in the front of the main house along with a very strange design.  The bedrooms were made before anything else, and I am excited to see if they will work out.  This house also has a basement.
The Main House is Complete.  The deck has been extended some but other than that this is what the Main House looks like.

Plans for the 2nd Family Wing have been brought to life as well, however it will take some time to learn what adjustments need to be made to create a more efficient living environment.

Second floor bedroom juts out over the nearly completed Court Yard.
The Lap Pool provides any family athletes a place to train for nearly any sport.  Recovering from an injury is best when you have  pool to lower impact on the body.
The Roof is the more complex designs.  A real contractor would of have quit on a job like that.
The sparkling pond reflects the wonderful Palm Trees.  Now i sound like i am trying to sell the house, i am not, i just worked on it a lot and have not played the family yet so i don't know what could happen.

When you have a house that has not been lived it all you can do is describe it like a real estate agent.

The Simulation Family
First family I ever created in The Sims2.  Two separate families living together.  Jenn is the mother of Ty and Jacob. Her Roommate Jarod has a son the same age as Jacob named Justin. Justin has been a great big bro for Ty and has really taken to Jacob.

I played this family quite a while and now Justin and Jarod have moved out into their own house, you can view it here
